The 4th generation of Nike Metcons are almost here. Just shortly after the Nike Metcon DSX 2 was released, the Nike Metcon 4 will be available on Nike iD on December 19. On January 1, 2018, the Metcon 4s will be available on Nike.com and on January 4 they will be sold at select retailers like Rogue Fitness.
As shown in the photos below, the Metcon 4 has a lot of similar features to that of the Metcon 3. However, Nike says that the newest generation will provide more comfort and better durability.
To provide the better durability, the Nike Metcon 4 features an innovative haptic technology on the upper which allows certain areas of the shoe to withstand the wear and tear from CrossFit WODs. The sole and heel cup appear to be very similar to that of the Metcon 3.
