Mitchell Hooper is best known for his 2023 World’s Strongest Man title along with numerous other Strongman titles around the world. But his accolades on competition floor have taken a backseat to his personal matters the past couple days. In a series of stories on Instagram between him and his wife, it appears that Hooper may have been unfaithful in his marriage.
Earlier this week, Hooper wrote, “There have recently been personal matters involving me and my family that have come to light.” Hooper continued, “Some messages have surfaced in which I was speaking with another woman, including discussions about the future and, at times, explicit topics.”
At the same time, Hooper’s wife, Ashley Hooper posted several stories that appear to add some context to the situation.
That context appears to point to Ashley’s friend and the Maid of Honor at her wedding. It also looks like this woman was Mitchell’s personal assistant.
In addition to posting the stories, Ashley Hooper has removed all photos and mentions of Mitchell from her Instagram account, along with unfollowing him and those around him.
Mitchell and Ashley have a one-year old daughter together and Ashley is pregnant with their second child.

All of this comes months after fellow Strongman competitor, Luke Stoltman, was accused by his wife at the time, Kushi Stoltman, of extramarital affairs.
Hooper spoke out against Luke when that happened, saying, “My initial reaction was to stand by a friend in a hard time. The more I learn, I can’t.”
Mitchell also added in an Instagram story, “I live no double life. I hold no skeletons. I don’t have the energy to lie about who I am.”

Six months later and now the tables have turned. It is unclear exactly what transpired between Strongman Mitchell Hooper and his wife, but it definitely doesn’t look good for one of the top Strongman athletes in the world.
