Yes, you read that right! Tia-Clair Toomey announced on Instagram this afternoon that she is pregnant. Toomey, who announced earlier this year, that she would be returning for the 2023 CrossFit Games season has once again changed her plans…for obvious reasons.
In her post, Toomey, visibly pregnant, shared a collection of pregnancy photos with her husband, Shane Orr.
The announcement comes on the heels of Toomey’s withdrawal from the Down Under Championships last month. Based on the photos, it appears that Toomey’s pregnancy may have been the reason for dropping out of the competition.

As for the 2023 CrossFit Games season, with Toomey out, it leaves an opportunity for athletes like Laura Horvath, Mal O’Brien, Danielle Brandon and others an opportunity to earn their first Games title.
