The rumors were true. Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr is pregnant with her second child. The 8-time Fittest Woman on Earth made the announcement on Instagram this morning. The reel showed Willow, Tia and Shane’s daughter, wearing a ‘Big Sister’ t-shirt with the caption, “Willow, show me how excited you are to become a big sister! 💕”
No other details such as the due date were announced.
Rumors of Tia’s pregnancy sparked at the TYR Cup in September, just eight weeks, ago when her performance was not at the level we had come to expect from the Fittest Woman on Earth. Some said it was likely just that she had not been training much following the CrossFit Games, but now it appears that she was likely pregnant at TYR WZA SoCal.
2026 CrossFit Games
You can’t mention Tia without already looking ahead to the 2026 CrossFit Games. Obviously, we don’t know the due date and whether it would even be possible for Tia to compete next season. Assuming she can’t/won’t, it leaves the door open for a new champion.
It might also come down to whether Laura Horvath returns to the CrossFit Games. Horvath won the 2023 CrossFit Games when Tia was pregnant the first time. She boycotted the 2025 CrossFit Games season due to Lazar Đukić’s death in 2024.
If Horvath doesn’t compete, a first-time champion will be crowned next year.
