After taking the CrossFit training shoe market by storm the past year, TYR Sport has released two new running shoes this week. The Techknit RNR-1 Runner debuted yesterday and the SR-1 Tempo Runner was released this morning.
If you’re like me, the first question you probably have is…why two new running shoes?
Well, they were made for different types of use.
The Techknit RNR-1 Runner is more for your every day light jog or a comfortable and versatile shoe for light workouts. It’s also great for casual wear outside the gym.

Both shoes are built on the Surge NRG+ midsole platform made with Pebax foam and both have a 4mm heel-to-toe drop. After that, the shoes start to take on a life of their own. Let’s take a look…
