The prize purse for the 2017 Reebok CrossFit Games has gotten a little bit bigger this year. As announced last year, the total prize purse for the Games has increased by $200,000 in 2017 and is now $2.4 million.
The individual winners of the 2017 CrossFit Games will now take home $285,000, a $10,000 increase over last year. The same $10,000 increase will be seen for 2nd and 3rd place finishers. Second place will take home $100,000 in 2017 and third will walk away with $70,000.
Like last year, the top 20 male and female individuals will take home money.
On the team side, call it the “Froning Effect”. The top team in 2017 will take home $100,000, up from the $70,000 awarded in 2016. The 2nd place team will share the $60,000 prize and 3rd will receive $30,000 to share among its six team members.
There is no change to the Masters’ prize purses other than the addition of the 35-39 division.
