“Brooke Ence had surgery to repair a herniated disk last Friday. Based on Ence’s updates on social media, she was in surgery for just over an hour and faster than expected. After spending a night at the hospital, Ence returned home on Saturday.
Ence has been posting to Instagram stories throughout the weekend. In one story, Ence shows the scar on her neck.
Ence’s C6/C7 were fused together, actually making Ence a bit taller, 1mm to be exact. It doesn’t sound like the recovery is too much fun right now as she said, “last night was pretty rough, super nauseas and throbbing headache not to mention the pain on my incision.”
Ence was, however, able to release another vlog on her YouTube channel covering her trip to Madison, Wisconsin, to help out on the 17.5 CrossFit Open announcement.
