Lucas Parker has been a mainstay on the Canada West and West Regional leaderboards for the past five years. That will all change in 2017. Parker has signed up in the Canada East region for the Open, which means he will be competing alongside Mat Fraser, Patrick Vellner and Alex Vigneault.
Parker is not the only Games veteran to move to the East Regional this year. Two-time Games Veteran and Misfit Athletics athlete Jordan Cook moved to Portland, Maine, to train with at Misfit HQ late last year.
Parker’s home gym is now listed CrossFit NCR in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Parker’s girlfriend has lived in Ontario for the past year so that appears to be the motivation behind the move. Parker is now training at the same gym as Paul Tremblay.
