James Sprague Has Pneumonia; Rogue Invitational in Jeopardy

The 2024 Rogue Invitational is just 10 days away…in Scotland…and James Sprague is down and out with pneumonia (2:32 time stamp). Sprague joined The Sevan Podcast this morning from his couch while laying under a blanket.

Sprague shared that he’s been dealing with this the past several days and has gotten little sleep as a result. On top of that he’s been experiencing shortness of breath and clocked in a 104.8-degree fever.

The timing couldn’t be worse for someone who is slated to make his first appearance at the Rogue Invitational next week. At 5:17, Sevan asks the question about Rogue. “I’ve been faced with sleepless nights thinking about it. I think I’m going to have a decision made by Wednesday,” answered Sprague. “If I can’t move by Wednesday, it’s probably a no-go.”

Sprague continued by saying he could probably show up and compete, but that he doesn’t want to step onto the floor is he’s not at full strength.

At 18:57, Sprague talks a little about the final event at the 2024 CrossFit Games. And at 26:00, Sprague jumps off the show…hopefully to get well soon.
