Nic Johnston is the CEO of PRVN Fitness. Or should I say Nc Jhnstn? Ok…sorry.
Anyway, Johnston joined Pedro this week on Coffee Pods & Wods. The discussion ranged from next month’s TYR Wodapalooza, non-CrossFit Games competitions and (un)profitability and Shane’s wizardry of coaching and programming. Oh, and Ricky Garard.
As for TYR Wodapalooza, Kyra Milligan is teaming up with fellow PRVN athlete Olivia Kerstetter and Dani Speegle. Sydney Wells will also be in Miami Beach competing as an individual and also on a team with her twin, Brooke, and Haley Adams.
There’s also been a lot of talk about competing leagues outside of the CrossFit Games season. Both agree that it is very difficult for event organizers to generate a profit, or a significant profit, when hosting these competitions. I know…shocking!
Pedro also tackles the uncomfortable question of trying to get Johnston to share who will be joining PRVN this off-season. While Johnston said they will have new athletes on their roster, they want to let the athlete announce the change.
Pedro doesn’t let up and brings up the Ricky Garard rumor. To me, it sure sounds like Garard is going to be a PRVN athlete in 2025.
