With the CrossFit Games behind us, it’s now time to focus on the off-season competitions. And for most of those, that means online qualifiers. That’s exactly the case for Masters athletes looking to compete at the 2023 Legends Championship later this year.
The online qualifier kicked off last week when all six qualifier workouts were dropped on Wednesday, 8/16. Athletes from 35 years and up have until Wednesday, September 6 to submit their scores so there is still plenty of time to register and complete the workouts.
For those looking to compete in the individual Rx division, here are the number of athletes who will compete in each division at the live final in December:
- 35-39: 40 male and female
- 40-44: 40 male and female
- 45-49: 40 male and female
- 50-54: 30 male and female
- 55-59: 30 male and female
- 60-64: 20 male and female
- 65+: 10 male and female
But all of those spots will not come from the online qualifier. Top athletes at the 2023 CrossFit Games will receive an automatic invite to the Legends Championship. Additionally, last year’s champion from each division is invited along with top finishers from the Masters Mexico and Monster Games also receive invites. That leaves approximately half the spots up for grabs via the online qualifier.
To register, head over to the Competition Corner page and sign up. The online qualifier is a blind leaderboard, meaning that scores can be submitted early, but will not be seen by the rest of the competitors.
Those qualifying for the finals will throw down in person on December 7-10 in Championship, Arizona. You can also get more information about the Legends Championship on their website.
