Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr and Jeff Adler are the 2024 Rogue Invitational champions. Toomey-Orr won the first four events and capped the weekend off with another event win to take the tile over Laura Horvath. Jeff Adler held a steady lead throughout and held off a hard-charging Brent Fikowski on Sunday.
Toomey-Orr and Adler will each take home $282,821.82 for their victory.
One of the more interesting storylines of the weekend was Toomey-Orr almost setting a record for most consecutive event wins at the Rogue Invitational. Toomey-Orr won the first four events, tying Horvath’s record, before Horvath won Event 5 to hold off Tia.
Horvath would then rattle off three more event wins before Toomey-Orr stopped her on the final event.
On the men’s side, while Adler held the top spot all of Sunday, the field behind him was in constant flux. Fikowski vaulted up the leaderboard with an Event 7 win followed by a 4th and 3rd place finish to round out Sunday.
Ricky Garard and Dallin Pepper both struggled on the horizontal pegboard, giving Jayson Hopper an opening. Hopper took advantage on the final event by winning, taking 100 points and squeaking onto the podium
But while the focus today was on the fight for the podium, yesterday had a much more somber ending when Gabriela Migala and Henrik Haapalainen both suffered injuries that ended their weekend. Haapalainen confirmed it was an Achilles tear while Migala has not confirmed the specific injury all signs point to the same diagnosis.
