2026 WFP Tour Stop 1 in Mallorca Will Reportedly Have Road Biking

The 2026 World Fitness Project’s season schedule has not yet been announced, but it is now being reported that athletes could face road biking at the first Tour Stop of the season.

Based on rumors and recent podcasts with representatives from the WFP, it appears that the 2026 WFP Tour Stop 1 will be in Mallorca, Spain, in March.

While the exact date has not been announced, I received information last month that it would be two weeks following the 2026 CrossFit Open.

The March timeframe was then confirmed by WFP’s European Event Director, Roger Gillros, on the Coffee, Pods & Wods podcast.

However, the timing of the 2026 WFP Tour Stop 1 now might be in question following the announcement of the 2026 CrossFit Games season calendar yesterday. In that, Quarterfinals falls two weeks after the Open, likely the same weekend as the WFP Mallorca event.

But regardless of when it actually happens, it does appear that a road bike will be programmed.

Earlier this week, Will Moorad, WFP Director of Sport, hinted that we could see cycling next year. He was asked if there would be a separate cycling event in 2026 during the “On the Pulse – Episode 16” released this week. Moorad said it would not be a separate event, but “those will be be included without our tour. So if we have six events we’d have maybe like a cycling or [undecipherable] and we’d have maybe a hybrid event at the tour as well, along with all of the stuff that we or similar stuff that we’ve seen this season already.”

Moorad also spoke at the 2026 season. Right now it appears there will be three Tour Stops and the WFP Finals next year for the Pro division athletes. According the Gillros on the CPW podcast, those events are tentatively scheduled for March, June, August/September and December.
