Emily Rolfe withdrew from Tour Stop 1 of the World Fitness Project this past weekend. Rolfe made it through Saturday, but withdrew on Sunday morning before the start of Event 5. In a post made earlier this week Rolfe stated, “Time to go home and heal to be back stronger for the next one. Don’t worry, I’m no stranger to a good comeback.”
In going back to Event 4A, the 1 Rep Max Jerk, Rolfe did not record a successful lift (although the on-screen graphics showed 215 pounds). She attempted a 225 pounds multiple times, but at the 3:40 mark on the clock you can see Rolfe fail the jerk behind her.
The video appears to show her elbow bend awkwardly. She is seen moving her elbow following the failed lift that looked like she was testing for pain.
Despite five minutes remaining on the clock, Rolfe did not attempt another jerk.
Rolfe was slated to compete at the TFX Invitational this weekend but has since withdrawn. She will now look to the NorCal Classic as her opportunity to qualify for the 2025 CrossFit Games.
Rolfe narrowly missed qualifying for the CrossFit Games last month when she finished in 3rd place at the Mayhem Classic, just five points behind Abigail Domit and Fee Saghafi.
Rolfe is coming off a season where she placed 3rd at the 2024 CrossFit Games.
