The 2025 Rogue Invitational prize purse totaled $1,569,513.79. That was for all CrossFit athletes along with Strongman and Strongwoman. Of that total prize purse, almost $1.1 million was for the CrossFit athletes ($1,083,611.14). First place received $232,976.37.
For a frame of reference, 1st place at the 2025 CrossFit Games received $288,516.
The prize purse at the Rogue Invitational is variable and a lot of it comes down to Bitcoin. On top of the $1 million cash investment, Rogue purchases $275,000 of Bitcoin way in advance of the competition. Any growth in the value of Bitcoin pumps up the prize purse.
This year Bitcoin was $95,000 per coin when Rogue made its investment. It was approximately $107,000 on Thursday.
On top of that, Rogue adds $5 to the prize purse for every spectator ticket sold, every Rogue Invitational T-shirt purchased and every pair of GORUCK Ballistic trainers sold on RogueFitness.com. It also adds 10% of the registration fees from the Q.
This year’s prize purse was actually down compared to 2024, thanks to a surge in Bitcoin. The 2024 Rogue Invitational prize purse ballooned to over $1.8 million with $282,821 going to 1st place. That would have been almost identical to this year’s CrossFit Games champ.
