Jeff Adler has announced that he will not compete at the World Fitness Project Tour Stop 2 in Mesa, Arizona, later this month. Adler, coming off an 8th place finish at the 2025 CrossFit Games three weeks ago, said he has been dealing with an injury recently.
“I’ve been battling with an injury that comes and goes and doing everything I can to come back at 100%. For the time being I need to respect my body and make sure it holds up for the next few years,” shared Adler in press release by the WFP.
Adler, however, did not disclose any details surrounding his injury.
With Adler withdrawing from the Pro division, Dani Camacho has been upgraded from the Challenger division to the Pro division. Camacho finished 10th in the Challenger Qualifier 2, just one spot out from the Pro division.
Additionally, Anthonee Yim has also withdrawn from Tour Stop 2. Yim qualified for the Challenger division, but like Adler, has cited an injury causing him to not compete next weekend. CJ Gerald has received the backfill invitation for Yim.
So far there are only 19 male athletes listed on the Challenger leaderboard meaning that the WFP has yet to find another backfill for Camacho. Steven O’Brien, who finished 34th in the online qualifier, would be next in line for an invite.
The WFP Tour Stop 2 is in Mesa, Arizona, on August 29-31.
