Kate Vibert is quickly becoming one the top lifters in the United States. Yesterday during training, Vibert unofficially broke Mattie Rogers’ American Record Snatch in the old 69kg weight category.
Vibert hit 107kg in the snatch, a PR. She followed that up with another PR in the clean and jerk at 128kg. Vibert weighed in at 69.7kg.
While she was technically above the 69kg weight, she was under the new 71kg weight category. That record standard has been set at 107kg. The clean & jerk is set at 136kg.
