The World Fitness Project made several changes to the 2026 season structure. One of those changes was to allow for up to five special invites for each of the Tour Stops in the second year of the league.
Now, based on the leaderboard on Competition Corner, we can see which athletes have received a special invite. In total, three men and one woman accepted a wildcard invite.
Sara Sigmundsdottir is the lone female athlete to receive and accept an invite.
On the men’s side, Spencer Panchik, Roldan Goldbaum and Fran Hurtado were recipients of a golden ticket.
Noah Ohlsen, who shared that he received an invite, appears to have declined and is not on the roster of the 30 non-Pro athletes set for London.
It is unclear who else, if anyone, might have been approached by the WFP regarding a special invite. However, only four of the 10 available spots were filled.
As such, the WFP has filled the remaining open spots with athletes from the online qualifier. More on that soon.
