Thuri Helgadottir has qualified for the CrossFit Games eight times, seven as an individual. But while she has a storied CrossFit career, Helgadottir has also successfully competed in Olympic Weightlifting.Â
Helgadottir has represented Iceland on the international stage, from the European Championships to even the IWF World Championships.

Yesterday, Helgadottir took to the platform again, this time in the 2024 Nordic Championships.
Competing in the 59kg weight category, Helgadottir missed her second and third snatch attempts, but recovered by going 3-for-3 on the clean and jerks. Helgadottir finished with a 77-104-181 stat line where she would take 3rd place overall.
Saara Retulainen (Finland) took 1st place with a 202kg total and Rebekka Tao Jacobsen (Norway) finished in 2nd place with a 186kg total.
