Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr will not defend her Rogue Invitational title this year. After slowly announcing the 18 automatic invites for the women’s field (two athletes were invited from the Q), Toomey-Orr was not announced.
Toomey-Orr came off a victory in 2024 at the Rogue Invitational, a year after taking second place behind Laura Horvath in 2023…just five months removed from giving birth to her daughter, Willow.

The 20-athlete women’s field is now headlined by Laura Horvath, but Toomey-Orr’s absence definitely makes it a much wide open field. Horvath might be considered the favorite heading into Scotland, but she will undoubtedly be challenged by athletes like Emma Tall, Lucy Campbell, Arielle Loewen and others.
Aimee Cringle also declined her invite due to an ongoing injury.
Toomey-Orr has not publicly stated why she will not compete in Scotland this year.
