Too Late for a Backfill? Roman Khrennikov’s Withdrawal Leaves Men’s Division at 19

I guess it was too late to make a last minute backfill. Or at least that’s what it looks like after Roman Khrennikov announced last week that he would not be competing at the Rogue Invitational.

Last Thursday, October 15, Khrennikov shared that he had not healed up from the injuries he sustained while competing at the World Fitness Project Tour Stop in late August. As such, Khrennikov said he would not compete at the Rogue Invitational.

And with only eight days to find a replacement, it appears that Rogue will not be doing so.

After publishing the workouts this morning, the 2026 leaderboard was updated on the Rogue Invitational website. And there are only 19 men listed currently.

When Khrennikov said he was withdrawing, my first instinct was to check who was next in line via The Q and the Rogue Points System. Noah Ohlsen was next in the Rogue Points System and Reggie Fasa was 6th in the online qualifier.

Fasa, who is from the United Kingdom, seemed like the obvious choice given his proximity to Scotland. However, when asked if he received an invite last week, it appeared that he had not yet as he responded by saying, “I hope so.”

While there is technically time to add someone, it looks like the men’s field will be one short to start the competition this year.

Here’s the current men’s lineup for the 2026 Rogue Invitational:

Jeff Adler
Ricky Garard
Jayson Hopper
James Sprague
Jay Crouch
Dallin Pepper
Colten Mertens
Gui Malheiros
Chandler Smith
Tudor Magda
Henrik Haapalainen
Harry Lightfoot
Saxon Panchik
Moritz Fiebig
Chris Ibarra
Bayley Martin
Nate Ackermann
Fabian Hermanns
Isaac Newman
