Victor Hoffer and Mirjam von Rohr are the first two athletes to qualify for a 2027 CrossFit Semifinal. The two won the FTD x Mayhem Online Competition that wrapped up last week and have received an invite to compete at the 2027 French Throwdown.
The off-season virtual competition collaboration was marketed as a way to compete and see how you stacked up heading into Open prep season.
And for the best of the best, an early entry into the biggest CrossFit Semifinal in Europe.
In the Elite divisions, only 15 men and 11 women submitted scores for the three workouts. Hoffer and von Rohr were the only two CrossFit Games veterans to take part in the competition.
As a result, the two crushed the competition with von Rohr winning all three workouts and Hoffer taking two 1st place finishes and a 2nd place finish.
The 2027 CrossFit Games season structure was just revealed last week. The individual Semifinals appear to be relatively unchanged from this past year.
In the announcement, CrossFit did not announce the final list of Semifinal competition. However, the organizers of the REBEL Renegade Games shared that CrossFit did not renew the contract for the South African Semifinal.
The 2027 French Throwdown, while not officially announced as a CrossFit Semifinal, will take place May 14-16, 2027, at the Arena Grand Paris.
