WFP Challenger Qualifier 2 Adds GHD and Rope to Equipment List

The online qualifier for the World Fitness Project’s Tour Stop 2 published its equipment list today. And in a bit of a departure from the first online qualifier, this one is upping the stakes. The Challenger Qualifier 2, as its officially called, has added a GHD and 15-foot rope to its list of equipment required to participate.

Those new items, plus a heavier dumbbell and a box, will be featured with some standard equipment.

The full equipment list is:
– Concept2 Rower
– GHD
– 70/50 lb. Dumbbell
– 20″ Box Height (24″ x 24″ minimum top of box width)
– Barbell with plates up to 185/125 lbs)
– 15-ft Rope
– Pull-up Bar
– 25-ft lane for movement

Some notable items not included are a wall and jump rope. And assuming the equipment list is comprehensive, we won’t see handstand push-ups or double-unders this go around, both of which were included in the Challenger Qualifier 1.

Also, the equipment list states that only enough bumper plates are needed to load a barbell up to 185 pounds. In the first qualifier, there were 315-pound deadlifts and 225-pound cleans.

The Challenger Qualifier 2 begins on Wednesday, July 2 with score submissions due by July 8. The top 9 men and women will qualify for the Pro division at Tour Stop 2. Challengers placing 10th through 29th will earn a spot in the Challenger Division.

Registration is currently open. So far, 19 men and 24 women have registered.

The WFP Tour Stop 2 is August 29-31 in Mesa, Arizona, at the Arizona Athletic Grounds.
