Yesterday the World Fitness Project released its rulebook for the 2026 season. The rulebook linked to its Drug Policy where cannabinoids were a banned substance during a competition.
This was a reversal of a reversal that happened last year when Alex Gazan admitted to using a CBD gummy to help sleep during Tour Stop 1 in Indianapolis. Following that admission, Will Moorad, WFP Director of Sport, said that the rule had been changed, but just not in the actual published documentation.
Today, 24 hours after the Drug Policy was published, the WFP sent a press release out indicating that the rulebook had been updated with the correct link to the Drug Policy that permits cannabinoids to be used during competition.
The revised rulebook and Drug Policy can be found here.
