WFP Finals to Feature Swim Event in Helsingborg, Sweden

The 2025 World Fitness Project (WFP) Finals are at the Bella Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark, this December. The four-day final competition runs December 18-21.

As part of the WFP Finals, the first event on Thursday, December 18, will be a swim event. That swim event, however, will not be in Denmark. According to Roger Gillros, WFP Event Director, that event will actually be across the Øresund straight in Helsingborg, Sweden.

Gillros shared this news on the Ufiltreret Fitness podcast. After Gillros mentioned it, he quickly questioned whether it was official yet or not to which the hosts said they had not heard about it yet.

“Breaking News,” they joked.

Gillros was then asked…why Sweden. According to Gillros, all of the swimming venues in Copenhagen were being difficult when approached to host an event. Gillros’ sister then recommended a venue in Helsingborg.

Gillros said there was a new venue that can handle up to 1,000 spectators (more on this below). It is expected that the Pro individual athletes will take on the swim event, but also said “maybe” when asked if teams will swim.

As for getting from Copenhagen to Helsingborg, it appears to be a simple one-hour train ride directly between the two cities.

Ok…so where is this event? A quick search led me to the Fiborna Arena Swimming Hall. This facility includes “the newly built competition arena from 2010 with an international competition pool (25 m) with 10 lanes and a capacity for 1,000 people.”

The arena pool has hosted multiple Swedish championships.

So there you go…good thing there are no leaks with the WFP.
