The World Fitness Project Trials are currently underway. The top teams from the WFP Trials will join podium finishers from the first two Tour Stops to compete at the WFP Finals this December in Copenhagen.
The WFP Rulebook states those are two ways for teams to qualify for the Community Divisions at the WFP Finals…unless the WFP uses a clause that allows the organization the right to invite any athlete in any division to compete.
That clause states, “**WFP holds the right to invite any athlete in any division to compete or add any division at any Competition**“

Last week the WFP implemented that clause as it was announced on the Amsterdam Throwdown Instagram page that the top 3 teams in the Elite and RX team divisions will be able to skip the qualifier and advance to the WFP Finals.
However, that information was never shared on the WFP Instagram page or any other official WFP media.

The Amsterdam Throwdown was this past weekend and we now have the podium finishers who have qualified for the WFP Finals.

These six teams will now be invited to compete this December in Copenhagen. The Elite team division will obviously compete in the Elite Team of 4 division at the WFP Finals. It is, however, unclear which division the Team RX podium finishers will compete in. Will they compete in the Elite Team of 4 division or the Intermediate Team of 4 division at the WFP Finals?

Yesterday morning we reported that the WFP Trials leaderboard was not visible on Competition Corner. Since then, six hours later, the leaderboard was made publicly available.Â
The top 4 teams in the Elite team division and top 6 teams in the Intermediate team division in the WFP Trials will receive an invite to compete at the WFP Finals.
It is still not known how many teams will compete in each division at the WFP Finals or whether any additional invites will be extended to top finishers at any other competitions.
