The online qualifier for the World Fitness Project Tour Stop 2 is done. The score submission window ended last night at 9pm Eastern Time when the blind leaderboard was revealed. Similar to the CrossFit Games, the leaderboard is not yet finalized and is pending the video review process.
The top athletes will be invited to compete in Mesa, Arizona, this August for the WFP Tour Stop 2. Heading into the qualifier, the top 9 men and women were slated to qualify for the Pro division while 10th through 29th would qualify for the Challenger division.
It was only the top 9 because Colten Mertens and Fee Saghafi were granted exemptions into the Mesa field after being the highest finishing Challengers at Tour Stop 1.
However, it appears that two of the signed Pro women have withdrawn from Mesa. While it has not been officially announced, it is likely that Bethany Flores and Emma McQuaid are the two athletes who will not compete at Tour Stop 2.
Flores recently announced that she is pregnant while McQuaid skipped Tour Event 1 with an injury and is likely the second Pro athlete to withdraw from Mesa. As such, the top 11 women from the online qualifier will advance to the Pro division.
