The 2024 Masters CrossFit Games are less than two weeks away. On Friday, athletes received an email from organizers of the Legends Championship with some details of the upcoming competition. One of those details were related to competition attire.
Athletes will be able to wear any Northern Spirit attire while on the competition floor at the Masters CrossFit Games.
If you recall, back in June we shared that athletes were frustrated with the amount of apparel supplied to the age group and adaptive athletes for their respective CrossFit Games. Northern Spirit, the Official Sponsor for the CrossFit Games for those three divisions, were providing three tops and three bottoms as the official uniforms.
The problem was, however, each of the respective CrossFit Games are multi-day competitions with multiple events each day. With only three uniforms athletes would be in a position to do laundry at the end of each day to have clean uniforms.
To remedy the situation athletes can now were any Northern Spirit apparel while competing. Organizers have asked athletes to wear their customized tops as often as possible to make the livestream and media look “as awesome as it can.”
Northern Spirit will be on-site of the Masters CrossFit Games to provide discounts to competitors.
We have reached out to organizers from both the Teenage CrossFit Games and Adaptive CrossFit Games to see if those competitions will allow athletes to wear any Northern Spirit apparel on the competition floor. Neither request was immediately returned.
Live Stream
The Legends Championship YouTube channel will provide a livestream of the competition. It is unclear if the livestream will be available on the CrossFit Games YouTube channel or embedded on the CrossFit Games website.
The 2024 Masters CrossFit Games will be in Birmingham, Alabama, at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex from August 29 through September 1.
