The 2019 CrossFit Games begin on Thursday, August 1, and run through Sunday, August 4. And while the Coliseum and Zevia Age Group Pavilion are indoors, the North Park is not. And based on the schedule framework, most of the competition will be held outside, including a possible water event Sunday morning.
Last year the weather at the Games was nice all week, but in 2017 a storm broke out on Thursday afternoon forcing all outside activities to be halted. The Compex tent also came crashing down onto the GatorZ tent.
This year the weather looks better overall, but there does appear to be a small chance of rain Saturday evening into Sunday morning. This is good news except for the possibility that the weather impacts the rumored water event that morning.
So here is the weather forecast (as of Sunday):
Thursday. Sunny, low of 58 degrees with a high of 80. 10% chance of rain.
Friday. Partly cloudy, low of 62 and a high of 81. 10% chance of rain.
Saturday. Partly cloudy to start the day with a low of 63. 40% chance of showers in the afternoon and a high of 80.
Sunday. 30% chance of a shower or two in the morning with a low of 64. The afternoon should clear up with partly cloudy skies and a high of 80.
