CrossFit’s Worldwide Rankings Updated; Horvath & Adler in Top Spot

A day after Laura Horvath and Jeff Adler stood on top of the podium to close out the 2023 NOBULL CrossFit Games, CrossFit has updated its Worldwide Rankings. Horvath, who was already ranked #1 entering the CrossFit Games, was joined by Jeff Adler on the men’s side.

CrossFit’s Worldwide Rankings are based on a rolling 2-year calendar, awarding points based on Open, Quarterfinals, Semifinals and CrossFit Games performance. The Worldwide Rankings are used to determine the number of qualifying spots awarded to the CrossFit Games from each region/Semifinal.

Horvath and Adler both received 10,000 points for winning the CrossFit Games. For Adler, it was enough to move up four spots to the #1 position in the rankings. Justin Medeiros, the defending champion and former #1 ranked athlete, dropped one spot to #2. Roman Khrennikov remained in the #3 spot.

On the women’s side, Emma Lawson moved up to #2 in the world, a jump of four positions. Danielle Brandon and Gabriela Migala stayed tied for 3rd in the rankings. Mal O’Brien, who was ranked #2 but did not compete in Semifinals or the Games this year, dropped to #8.
