While everyone was focused on Ilse Boevink and her edited video during the CrossFit Open, there were others who were skirting the rules this season. In total, CrossFit handed out four sanctions to athletes who violated the 2026 CrossFit Games rulebook.
Two of those sanctions were for edited videos while the other two were for falsification of birthdates.

VIDEO EDITING
Two of those sanctions are for editing video submissions for an Open workout. Ilse Boevink is one of those athletes. She received a 4-year sanction. We documented all of that, thanks to Andrew Hiller back in March.
The other athlete is Angelo Di Milo, an athlete in the 50-54 year-old division. For some reason, there is no record of Di Milo on the 2026 CrossFit Open leaderboard (whereas Boevink is still listed, but with her 26.3 score deleted).
However, I was able to track down his scores from Google’s archives (see below) and they were quite impressive…if they were legit.
Di Milo posted the following scores:
26.1: 285 reps (7th)
26.2: 12:53 (17th)
26.3: 229 reps (3rd)
As you can see above, Di Milo posted a score in the top 20 worldwide in his age group for all three workouts. Those 27 points appear to have been good enough for 2nd in the world.

Di Milo has since deleted all three of the videos he submitted with his scores for this year’s Open. Before they were deleted, all of the videos received input that they “Need Review”.Â
You can, however, see videos from 2022 and earlier on his YouTube channel, @Builtbyangelo.
Di Milo received a 4-year sanction from CrossFit as a result of editing his video submissions.
FALSIFICATION OF BIRTHDATES
There were also two athletes who received a one-year sanction for lying about their age. One of the athletes registered in the 14-15 year-old division while another was in the 16-17 year-old division. However, both athletes falsified their age when registering for the 2026 CrossFit Open.
Because both athletes are minors, CrossFit would not disclose the names of the athletes.
