A week ago Ilse Boevink had the second fastest time in the world for her CrossFit Open 26.3 workout. All of that changed last Friday when her 26.3 score was adjusted to zero and Andrew Hiller published a video showing evidence that she edited her video submission(s).
Now, this morning, Boevink has received a four-year sanction from CrossFit for “violating the CrossFit Games rulebook. More specifically, CrossFit said Boevink violated the clause relating to video submissions, “Ensure submitted videos are unedited and not altered in any way.”

In the email, posted on Boevink’s Instagram account, CrossFit states that Boevink edited her video submission to “gain a competitive advantage.” On top of that, CrossFit said that Boevink used different equipment than what was in her video submission when asked to verify the weights used.
CrossFit concludes that the decision is final and cannot be appealed. Boevink’s suspension will run through February 26, 2030. Boevink will not be able to compete in any CrossFit Games events or CrossFit owned community events over that four-year period.

26.3 Score Invalidated
On Friday, before Andrew Hiller published his first video, CrossFit had zeroed out Boevink’s 26.3 score. However, it was not for editing her video. Rather, it was for not following video submission requirements such as showing the weights used in the video.
Because of this, Boevink’s score was zeroed out, effectively (barely) eliminating her from advancing to Quarterfinals. Even with the zeroed out score, Boevink was 26,878th in the world. The top 26,490 women received an invite to compete at Quarterfinals.

Hiller’s Videos
Within hours later, Andrew Hiller published his first video where he walked through Boevink’s video submissions for the 2026 CrossFit Open. In that video he showed evidence that Boevink did not use the proper weights and a training bar for her original 26.3 video submission.
Additionally, he showed overwhelming evidence that she had altered her video by splicing the clock to speed up her workout.
Hiller would then go live two more times. The second time was on Monday where Boevink and her coach joined Hiller. In this live show, Boevink admitted to splicing the video and ramping up the speed of her workout.
