Last week Dallin Pepper shared that he had withdrawn from the upcoming Mayhem Classic. Pepper made the decision to sit out the first In-Person Qualifying Event of the season because of a shoulder injury he has been navigating for the past several months.
Backfilling Pepper’s vacancy is George Sterner. 2019 CrossFit Games veteran is looking to make a return to competition after a hiatus for the past five years. Sterner is currently 18th in the world after the first two Open workouts this year.
As for Pepper, he will now look ahead to the In-Affiliate Semifinals the first weekend in May to punch his ticket to the 2025 CrossFit Games. Should that not work out, he will then travel to Knoxville, Tennessee, for Syndicate Crown at the end of May.
The Mayhem Classic is April 5-6 at CrossFit Mayhem in Cookeville, Tennessee. Spectator tickets are still available.
