We knew it was coming. Jack Monaghan admitted that he had used a banned substance last week after CrossFit announced that he had failed a drug test.
While Monaghan initially appealed the test results, he later shared on Instagram that he had taken 3a-hydroxy-2a-methyl-5a-androstan-17-one, a metabolite of drostanolone, on purpose.
Now, CrossFit has officially concluded the appeal process and has issued a formal four-year sanction to Monaghan. The suspension runs through June 1, 2029.
Monaghan finished 6th overall at the Torian Pro this year.
