Tasia Percevecz Joins CrossFit Mayhem Freedom

The newest member of CrossFit Mayhem Freedom is Tasia Percevecz. After Kristen Reffett left Rich Froning and team after this year’s CrossFit Games, the team needed to find a replacement. Last week, the five remaining members posted a photo on Instagram saying they needed to find a sixth teammate.

This afternoon, CrossFit Mayhem Freedom’s Instagram page announced that Percevecz would be joining the team based out of Cookeville, Tennessee. Percevecz competed at the 2016 CrossFit Games where she would end up taking 15th place overall.

In 2017, Percevecz was well on her way to qualifying for the East Regional once again. After 17.4 she was in 4th place in the North East region. But Percevecz came down with bronchitis in the days leading up to 17.5. After trying to recover all weekend, Percevecz was unable to complete the thruster and double-under couplet, thus dropping her out of contention.

Percevecz would join CrossFit Free’s roster to compete at the East Regional. CrossFit Free would end up taking 8th place at the East Regional.

The addition of Percevecz will mean that the city of Cookeville will become even more fit as she will need to move to the area to meet the training requirements for the 2018 CrossFit Open.
