Taylor Self has received a four-year sanction from CrossFit for using a banned substance. Self, like Andrew Hiller, received the sanction for discussing the use of a banned substance on various podcasts.
Self has said on these shows that he has used BPC-157 and TB-500 supplied by Biomax Peptides. Both substances are banned per the 2025 CrossFit Games Drug Policy.
The four-year sanction will run from June 25, 2025 through June 25, 2029. Self has previously said that he has retired from pursuing competitive CrossFit following a brief return to competition in 2024 after coming back from a torn ACL.
As far as I am aware, Self and Hiller are the only two known individuals who have received a sanction from CrossFit for talking about the use of a banned substance.
