Both the teams and individual athletes saddled up with a ruck sack filled with weighted sand bags up to 50 lbs. to run 6,000 meters. It was a test of their aerobic capacity as well as their mental game to sprint to the finish.
Team JST Compete shot out of the gate and held a fairly consistent pace throughout the grueling stretch, defeating CrossFit Invictus by nearly 50 seconds. With the event win, JST Compete moves up to seventh overall. CrossFit Mayhem Freedom widened their lead with a fifth-place finish in the event and is 84 points ahead of CrossFit Krypton.
Canadian rookie Emily Rolfe secured her first ever event win, holding off Tia-Clair Toomey and Kristin Holte by a mere three second between the first and third.
Lukas Hogberg, who finished third overall in 2018 locked up 100 points, finishing at 24 minutes flat, 19 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Joshua Wichtrup from Germany.
