We might have another company within the CrossFit space going out of business. This time it is RPM Training Co. You probably know of them by their jump ropes. They, along with RXSG, were the go-to brands for jump ropes back in the day.
Now, it appears that RPM might be gone.
Yesterday on Reddit, a user asked if RPM was going out of business. According to Mister_beaverhausen, when trying to order a replacement cable, the RPM website displayed “Online ordering is currently unavailable.”
He goes on to say that he read reviews from August showing that people couldn’t place orders and that orders from July were being canceled.
After seeing this I went to RPM’s website and was greeted by this message…

This is because we’re working on making some changes to our manufacturing pipeline, so we ask that you please be patient while we work through these changes. We’ll keep you updated on @RPMTraining on Instagram and here on the site when we have updates. We’re really looking forward to getting things back on track and in stock, but we appreciate your patience as we do.
As @CharmingCourt681 said on Reddit, “that reads like a polite way of saying ‘we’re cooked’ – really hope I’m wrong because their bearings were unmatched.”
So after reading this on RPM’s website, I headed over to their Instagram page where I was told we would stay updated.
But…the last post is from July 21. No updates on their manufacturing pipeline. Only comments on the post of people asking about their shipment. Others asked for a response to their emails.
It’s just say this doesn’t look good.
It’s especially not good when you realize that RPM Training Co. was acquired by Fitlab in February 2024.
You know who else Fitlab acquired on the same day?
Assault Fitness.
Fitlab acquired both Assault Fitness and RPM Training on February 27, 2024.
Let’s just say Assault Fitness has had its share of issues fulfilling orders a year ago. Customers complained about their orders taking forever to be shipping. Many questioned if they ever would.
Assault Fitness created a webpage last December to give customers “visibility into supply chain milestones.” That page stopped giving updates in April, even though it is still the primary link on Assault Fitness’ Instagram page.
What’s also interesting is that Assault Fitness’ last Instagram post was on July 22, just one day after RPM’s last post.
And those comments are also full of customers asking about their order. Event Jacob Heppner commented, “I’m still waiting on a call back or email to fix my 2 runners. Please message me back.”
So things don’t look good for RPM Training and Assault Fitness. Even if they come back and fix their manufacturing pipeline (fantastic wordspeak, btw), they have likely burned through whatever remaining goodwill they have with customers.

Mr. Wilson ordered an Assault Runner in November 2025 and as of 6 days ago (September 2026), he can’t get a refund or a response. Insane.
Even if they are able to come back and start shipping products, will anyone trust them?
I tried reaching out to RPM Training to get clarification on what is happening. They have yet to respond.
