Four-time CrossFit Games veteran Julie Foucher and her husband, Dani Urcuyo, announced this morning that they have partnered with SteadyMD to bring primary care online. Urcuyo has opened enrollment to take on a limited number of patients (as of this writing there are 47 spots left). Foucher is graduating from medical school this month and will begin her residency this fall so she will not yet be taking patients.
Because Urcuyo and Foucher do CrossFit they can approach primary care from that point-of-view and will be able to address fitness goals, nutrition as well as standard primary care items. Because patients will be located across the country, patients will have the ability to contact their doctor via phone calls, text or video calls.
