NOBULL Reveals Short Film to be Featured at Fitness Film Festival

Last month, NOBULL announced its Fitness Film Festival, a first-of-its-kind event celebrating short films about and created by the fitness community. Of course, the shoe and apparel company will feature its own short film, the title of which it released yesterday. Who I’ve Always Been features perspectives of Tia-Clair Toomey, Katrin Davidsdottir and Brooke Wells, a chronicle of “the habits, sacrifices and people that have helped define them.”

The Nov. 23 event will also feature original film submissions from the fitness community. Anyone can submit video for consideration, so long as it is not a commercial or gimmick. The deadline for submission is Oct. 31. General tickets go on sale Oct. 23, with admission starting at $50, including meet-and-greet opportunities with Toomey, Davidsdottir and Wells as well as other “community notables.”

CrossFit’s most notable women aren’t the only ones getting some attention from the event. Anyone miss Rory Mckernan, former CrossFit media great? He’s hit his stride again, hosting Instagram announcements for the festival and giving a sneak peek into the venue: The Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse in Brooklyn, NY. The former rope factory has the gritty, industrial feel that’s right at home for both NOBULL’s edgy marketing and CrossFit’s roots.

NOBULL gained traction over the summer when CrossFit lifted its shoe contract with Reebok, opening the door athletes like Toomey and Davidsdottir to sign with them. The company recently opened storefront locations in Boston and Manhattan’s trendy SoHo neighborhood.
