Rogue Fitness has created a SkiErg! That’s right, the Rogue Echo SKI is on the Rogue website with an estimated launch date of November 24.
And just like the Rogue Echo Rower, the Echo SKI has been calibrated to “provide accurate and consistent outputs that allow this to be used in competition, alongside the Concept2 SkiErg.”
On top of that, the Rogue Echo SKI is the Official Ski Machine of CrossFit and the CrossFit Games, just like the rower.
The Rogue Echo SKI looks very similar to the existing Concept2 SkiErg (as expected) with some notable differences including the oversized wheels seen in other Rogue machines, red handles and lines on the floor stand to assist in finding the right foot placement each time. Rogue also says that the floor stand is 20% wider than the industry norm (aka the Concept2 SkiErg).
Honestly, oversized wheels are probably the best upgrade possible. Have you ever tried rolling the Concept2 SkiErg on those tiny wheels?
One difference, however, is the the Echo SKI features a level that allows the machine to attach to a Rogue rack or rig quickly. It is unclear whether the Echo SKI can be attached to a wall like the Concept2 SkiErg.
For those looking to attach the Rogue Echo SKI to a rack or rig, the price is just $825 USD.
And now it looks like we will see the new Rogue Echo SKI in action at the Rogue Invitational this weekend. Saturday night, Event 6, will feature a 1,000-meter Ski.
The Concept2 SkiErg is still on the Rogue Fitness website and is for sale at $850 USD.
