Months after the TYR CXT-2 trainer was released, TYR Sport has unveiled the next iteration with a “first-to-market” training shoe with a carbon insert. The CXT-2 Elite Carbon Trainer features the Carbon Fiber PowerPlate that is said to give athletes the ability to jump higher and recover quicker.
The CXT-2 Elite Carbon was tested against other shoes in the market at the LSU-Shreveport Human Performance Lab. Results from the testing showed that the CXT-2 Elite Carbon increased force production by 25% and reduced fatigue and enhanced overall performance by 29%.
“Developing a shoe that truly encapsulates our brand ethos of ‘Always In Front’, is a pivotal moment for our footwear business,” said Matt DiLorenzo, CEO of TYR. “Our first shoe hit the market in 2022 and now just two years later, we are putting technology into training shoes that has never been seen before. We now have the data to support that the CXT-2 Elite Carbon is superior to all other training shoes on the market. Brand innovation that optimizes athlete performance speaks directly to our mission and vision for the future of TYR.”
The CXT-2 Elite Carbon Trainer is currently available at TYR.com and TYR retail locations. The MSRP is $225.
