Less than two weeks after returning to the competition floor at the Rogue Invitational, Alex Gazan has announced that she will not compete at the WFP Finals in Copenhagen, Denmark, next month. WFP Challenger Janie Cheverie has accepted a backfill invite.
Gazan already missed Tour Stop 2 after her car accident earlier this year, which sidelined her from competing at the CrossFit Games, the WFP Tour Stop and TYR Wodapalooza SoCal.
According to a press release by the WFP, Gazan shared that she has withdrawn “to deal with personal responsibilities.”

Gazan did win WFP Tour Stop 1 in Indianapolis to kick off the inaugural season. And despite missing the second Tour Stop, Gazan still had the ability to retain her Pro Card for the 2026 season with a good finish in Copenhagen.
However, with Gazan sitting out the WFP Finals she will not have earned enough season points to finish in the top 20 this year.
At Rogue, Gazan finished 2nd place overall in her first competition back following the car accident.
As for Janie Cheverie, she has 475 total season points after competing at both Tour Stops in the Challenger division. She ranked 32nd in season points.
