Over the weekend, the United Grid League capped off its 2024 season with make-up matches on Saturday (thanks to Hurricane Milton) and its 4-team playoff on Sunday. After winning in the morning, the Atlanta Wild and the SWFL Sharks returned to the competition floor for the championship match.
The Atlanta Wild came out hot, winning the first seven events to take a 14-7 lead. However, the Sharks would battle back to make it 15-12 with two events remaining. But the Wild would take the Men’s Triad win to seal the victory.
The Wild would go on to win 18-16 over the Sharks.
THE SPIN covered the championship match live with our SpinCast. Watch the final match with John, Tyler & Spin on the commentary. I think we did a pretty good job explaining the rules (that we knew…).
Special thanks to Jess Krezmien (UGL player) and Justin Cotler (former NPGL coach) for helping us in the chat.
