Lauren Fisher is the latest big name to announce she will be competing at this year’s Down Under Championship. Fisher, a 7-time CrossFit Games athlete, shared the news yesterday afternoon on an Instagram story.
In the short 14-second story, Fisher says she will be competing, but does not yet know in what capacity. The most likely scenario is that she is working to pull together a team.
The announcement comes on the heels of news that Brooke Wells and Ellie Turner are joining Tia-Clair Toomey to compete as a team. So, if Fisher is forming a team, who might join her?
Fisher just competed on CrossFit Reykjavik’s team at the CrossFit Games where the team finished 4th overall. Fisher competed alongside Annie Thorisdottir and had Katrin Davidsdottir on the team as a backup. Could we see Annie, Katrin and Lauren on the floor this November?
