Scott Tetlow May Miss Rogue Invitational After Son Hospitalized Over the Weekend

Registration for the 2022 Rogue Invitational is on Wednesday at 4:45pm. The first event begins on Thursday. But for Scott Tetlow, competing at the Rogue Invitational has taken a back seat to making sure his son is healthy. Tetlow has spent the past three days in the hospital alongside his son who was hospitalized over the weekend.

In speaking with Tetlow, he told The Barbell Spin that he still intends to compete but that he will put his family first and will only travel to Austin if his son is discharged from the hospital in time. Tetlow said he has been in contact with officials from the Rogue Invitational to update them on his status. Rogue assured Tetlow that they will work with him the best they can so that he still has a chance to compete.

For Tetlow, that might mean he arrives on the first day of competition. That first day, however, is not on Friday as athletes were officially notified this past Friday that Event 1 will be a day earlier on Thursday.

Tetlow qualified for this year’s Rogue Invitational after finished 3rd in the online qualifier. The Rogue Invitational begins on Thursday, October 27, and runs through Sunday, October 30. Justin Medeiros will look to defend his title in the men’s division while the women’s side is wide open after Tia-Clair Toomey elected to not compete this year.

The Rogue Invitational will be live-streamed on the Rogue Fitness YouTube channel. Right now, the upcoming live streams on their page begins on Friday, October 28. It is unclear if the first event will be live streamed at this time.
