Victor Hoffer to Miss WFP Finals with Knee Injury

Victor Hoffer injured his knee during the one-rep max clean event at the WFP Tour Stop 2 in Mesa, Arizona. Hoffer would take the floor one more time on Sunday to take 6th in an event that included a lot of handstand walking.

Now, two months after that injury and two months ahead of the World Fitness Project Finals, Hoffer has announced he will not be competing this December.

“The verdict is hard to accept: my injury, from 8 weeks ago at the Phoenix stage, does not allow me to compete under safe conditions,” shared Hoffer in an Instagram post written late last week.

Hoffer added, “I refuse to take the slightest risk — even 1% — that could compromise my long-term health. The good news is that doctors are confident that in time, the healing will be complete in the next few months.”

Hoffer, one of the 20 male signed Pro athletes this year, sits in 19th in total points after the two Tour events. The top 20 men after the WFP Finals will earn their Pro Card for the 2026 WFP season.

However, with Hoffer sitting out, he will be unable to retain his Pro Card next season and will have to come back via the Challenger route.

With Hoffer out, Tola Morakinyo will get the invite to backfill Hoffer’s spot. Morakinyo has 520 Tour points, good for 29th, heading into the WFP Finals.

Hoffer is the fourth signed Pro (first male athlete) who will not compete at the WFP Finals this December. Haley Adams, Emma McQuaid and Bethany Flores will also not be in attendance in Copenhagen, Denmark, later this year.
