While CrossFit has yet to announce that East Woodbridge will be disqualified, the teammate in question has already owned her actions on social media. Laura Hosier shared on Instagram a photo of a pre-workout supplement (Allmax Impact Igniter) she purchased and took full blame for the positive drug test.
Hosier writes, “I received an email from @crossfitgames informing me that I had tested positive for higenamine. A compound found in the pictured preworkout I had taken. I take full responsibility for consuming this product. I drank it. It was delicious. It was blue. And that was about all I knew about it. I bought it at a local shop and didn’t think twice. In retrospect I should have. I am embarrassed and appalled that my ignorance is costing my teammates their shot at competing at the Crossfit Games. I am sorry to everyone who helped and supported me on this journey. I fucked up.”

Team East Woodbridge finished 3rd at the East Regional. The failed drug test means that they will be disqualified from the 2018 CrossFit Games.
CrossFit has yet to publish the failed drug test. Last year, CrossFit released all disqualifications stemming from drug test at one time. Could the delay in releasing this information mean more athletes have tested positive? Stay tuned.
