Kristin Holte Will Compete at Asia CrossFit Championship

Kristin Holte will be heading to Shanghai, China to compete in the Asia CrossFit Championship (ACC). Holte, a 5-time CrossFit Games veteran, is the second big name female athlete to be invited to compete in the ACC. Camille Leblanc-Bazinet will be competing alongside Holte next month.

Holte and Leblanc-Bazinet will likely be joining those who qualified via the online qualifier like Alessandra Pichelli, Hayley Murillo Eik Gylfadottir, Alethea Boon and Pip Malone. The top finisher will earn an invite to the 2019 CrossFit Games.

Holte may not have to wait for the ACC to secure her trip to the CrossFit Games as she is in position to qualify via the Open. With one week left, Holte is atop the Norway leaderboard and is 6th in the world. One more strong finish on 19.5 and Holte will have qualified for the CrossFit Games.

That is not the case for athletes like Leblanc-Bazinet, Murillo, Boon and Malone. All of these athletes fall below the “blue” line on the worldwide leaderboard and are not leading their national standings. Instead, the only path after the Open is to win one of the remaining Sanctional events to earn an invite to the Games.
