Luke Parker Stepping Away from Competition Following 3rd Place Finish at Syndicate Crown

After three CrossFit Games appearances (twice as an individual and once on a team), Luke Parker is stepping away from the competition floor. Parker, who narrowly missed qualifying for his third consecutive individual CrossFit Games this weekend, said in an interview with Bella Martin that he considers the 2025 Syndicate Crown his last CrossFit competition.

But while he said he is stepping away from competition after this season, he still wanted to qualify for the 2025 CrossFit Games. “Selfishly I want to [CrossFit] Games train one more time and show up to the Games healthy and see what I have in it, but, you know, if that’s not God’s plan, it’s not God’s plan,” said Parker on Saturday afternoon.

Parker entered the final event on Sunday tied for 1st place alongside Ty Jenkins and just six points ahead of Jack Rozema and 12 points ahead of George Sterner.

Rozema would take 2nd in the event. Jenkins followed in 3rd to solidify his spot in the top 2. Parker would cross the line next in 4th place, allowing Rozema to tie Parker in total points for the weekend. Rozema, however, would get the tiebreak based on the highest event finish. Rozema won the first event, Heavy Isabel.

With that, Parker would fall just short of getting a ticket to Albany, New York.

Syndicate Crown was Parker’s third In-Person Qualifying Event of the 2025 season. Parker competed at the Mayhem Classic, French Throwdown and Syndicate Crown. Parker also did the online In-Affiliate Semifinal the week before the French Throwdown.

Throughout Parker’s career, his best finish was at the 2022 CRASH Crucible where he would win the competition. At the CrossFit Games Parker finished 27th and 28th in 2023 and 2024, respectively.

His best event finish was last year when he took 2nd place in Track and Field.

Outside of CrossFit, Parker and his wife, Jennifer, are expecting their second child together this fall. Parker is also looking forward to having a “big boy” job and not just working out for a living.
